Lodges at the Mains
Lodges at the Mains
Retreat, relax and restore at the Lodges at the Mains...
Our architect-designed 5 Star Highland eco lodges are the last word in luxury and have been tailor made for 2 people – the ideal retreat for those looking for a slice of relaxation and tranquillity in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
Nestled into a stunning rural woodland setting, The Lodges at the Mains are located within reach of Loch Ness, the Moray Coast, Cairngorms National Park and picturesque Speyside and benefit from being only a few miles from Inverness Airport. It couldn’t be easier to get away from it all…
Situated near Inverness and Nairn, our luxury lodges – Scots Pine & Silver Birch – are designed for couples and are constructed of untreated local larch. Picture windows and balconies make the most of the woodland setting and ground source heating, solar panels and cellulose insulation means these eco-centric lodges make little impact on their stunning local environment.
Yet no luxury or comfort has been sacrificed to earn these eco-credentials. Both lodges boast a wood-fired hot tub, fully-equipped hand-made solid oak kitchens, spacious lounges with sumptuous sofas, wood-burning stoves, a relaxation room, sunken-whirlpool bath, multi-room sound systems, beautiful soft furnishings and bespoke locally-made furniture.
You could while away days at our luxury Highland lodges, set amidst some of Scotland’s finest scenery. But if you want to explore the area further a plethora of activities and attraction await.
Cawdor Castle – home of Shakespeare’s Macbeth – and Culloden Battlefield – are a must for history buffs, both within 15 minute’s drive of the lodges.
To catch a glimpse of the Highlands’ most famous resident, Loch Ness is a mere 20 minute drive and, nearby Chanonry Point is one of the UK’s best places to spot dolphins.
Miles of sandy beaches and forest walks are on our doorstep and the Cairngorm Mountain Resort ski area is within easy reach. Excellent mountain biking, sailing, hill-walking and kayaking are also at your disposal as well as some of Scotland’s finest salmon and trout fishing, deer stalking and shooting.
World class golf abounds here with over 30 courses within a 30 mile radius with Castle Stuart, Nairn and Royal Dornoch the jewels in the crown.
